Degree Requirements

MS, HIIM Plan of Studies (DOCX)

The Master of Science in Health Informatics and Information Management (MS-HIIM) program’s curriculum is based on the standards published by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM). The curriculum provides students with the knowledge and skills they will need to become productive health informaticians working in the healthcare sector.  The capstone to the degree is an internship experience that allows students to put their newly gained knowledge and skills to the test in a real world, health care environment.  To obtain the MS-HIIM degree students must complete 39 credit hours, which is the equivalent of thirteen courses.
