2024 HIIM Educators’ Consortium

Welcome!

The Department of Health Services and Information Management at ECU is proud to host the 2024 Consortium of Baccalaureate and Graduate Health Informatics and Information Management Educators’ Annual Meeting! The HIIM Educators’ Consortium has met annually for a quarter of a century, and presently consists of roughly 140 educators from across the country. Each year, the consortium is hosted at different participating universities, with this being ECU’s first time serving in this capacity.

The two-day 2024 HIIM Educators’ Consortium is offered in a hybrid format, with day 1 being in-person and day 2 virtual. We have an outstanding line-up of HIIM educators and professionals from nearly a dozen organizations around the country, covering a variety of topics ranging from program and course design to experiential learning and the RHIA examination. For a detailed breakdown, please see the schedules for day 1 and day 2.

This meeting presents an excellent opportunity for colleagues to network and learn about the latest developments and advancements in HIIM higher education, with an emphasis on quality programming and outcomes. We look forward to the exchange of ideas, sharing of knowledge, and spending time with everyone.

Thanks, and welcome to ECU!

This program has been approved for 11.0 continuing education unit(s) for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
