Future Health Care Executives

The Future Health Care Executives, also known as FHE at ECU, is a professional club for East Carolina University students looking to pursue a career in healthcare administration. However, our club structure allows for a diverse range of majors and careers paths for those aspiring to work in the medical field. We have the goal of bringing together the students of Health Services Management (HSM) and related disciplines.

Throughout the year, we reach out to local and regional health care systems who provide us with guest speakers with a variety of backgrounds. FHE focuses on networking and identifying new learning opportunities in the healthcare field. We strive to provide a greater understanding of the HSM career pathway and expose members to potential work environments.

Throughout the past year, FHE has had many accomplishments with a mentoring program for students new to the HSM program, a successful fundraiser, Wilson Medical Center and Vidant-Duplin CEO’s as guest speakers, volunteering with the local charities, and networking opportunities with HSM alumni. The Future Healthcare Executives of America as an organization strives to provide opportunities to further understand the healthcare system, build leadership and character, and be an asset in the growth of students pursuing a career in healthcare because we truly are “sailing into a new career in healthcare.”
