My professional career began in retail as an apparel buyer, but I found those business skills to be equally useful as I transitioned into health care management. For fourteen years, I worked in various health care settings including small and large clinics, a hospital, and a comprehensive cancer center. During this time, I completed a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Community Health. Upon completion of my degree, I began teaching at Pitt Community College where I taught for ten years before coming to ECU. I also taught for Lenoir Community College and the University of Mount Olive.
