After completing my BS degree in Health Services Management, I began my professional career as a Transcription Assistant at a large clinic. Soon after I began as a Transcription Assistant I enrolled into the MS program in Health Informatics and Information Management. Upon completion of the master’s degree I was promoted to the Coding and Claims Analyst within the large clinic. I also taught as an adjunct instructor for the department of Health Services and Information Management at East Carolina University.
